Solution
This label was created using an Art Deco style. I wanted to capture the essence of the wine. Since it was a fictional wine, and I knew nothing about wine, I had some research to do. I sketched out the design using just paper and pencil until I had the right look, then redrew it in Illustrator.
I researched some different Art Deco styles and saw one artist by the name of Alphons Mucha. His art was appealing so I used his style to draw the label.
